Sooo my favorite show on TV, reality or otherwise is CBS’ Big Brother. For those who don’t know, the premise boils down to this. You stick 14-16 people of varying backgrounds in a sequestered house with no way in or out. Each week a person is selected or wins the opportunity to be the HOH, or Head of Household.
That person nominates two HG’s, or House Guests, to be up for eviction from the Big Brother house. The nominees and other HGs compete in a veto challenge to try to save themselves or a friend/ally from eviction. The two people in danger of going home backstage, promise and lobby against each other to evade eviction from the house that week. Every Thursday The Chenbot, Julie Chen hosts the live eviction where each house guest who isn’t HOH or a nominee casts their vote for eviction. The person with the most votes must leave the Big Brother House.
Wash, rinse, repeat, every week.
Grand prize for the final HG to leave the house (After Jury members vote a winner) is $500,000. Not a bad deal for 3 months worth of work, ehh?
The best thing about the show, for me, is the game strategy mixed with the super egos of ppl who go on this type of show. They are often insane and hilarious characters with personalities magnified for camera and air times sake.
I love it!
I can’t even begin to explain how excited I am for the show to start next Thursday. Today’s cast reveal is just the beginning of my full engulfment in summer’s guiltiest pleasure. Don’t expect to see me for a while. :)
Real women are feminine and smell good and they are masculine and smell good and they are androgynous and smell good, except when they don’t smell so good, but that can be changed if desired because real women change stuff when they want to.
Real women have ovaries. Unless they don’t, and sometimes they don’t because they were born that way and sometimes they don’t because they had to have their ovaries removed. Real women have uteruses, unless they don’t, see above. Real women have vaginas and clitorises and XX sex chromosomes and high estrogen levels, they ovulate and menstruate and can get pregnant and have babies. Except sometimes not, for a rather spectacular array of reasons both spontaneous and induced.
Real women are fat. And thin. And both, and neither, and otherwise. Doesn’t make them any less real.
5. Which song/artist would people be surprised to see on your iTunes? Why?
Hmm not sure. I listen to just about everything and most people who know me know that. Maybe they’d be surprised at Don McLean - American Pie. It’s one of my all time favorite songs. Or perhaps the vast amounts of Celine Dion *Shrug*.
I lost a lot of music when my HD crashed and my old iPod got stolen so there may have been some stuff there that was surprising to some.
I LOVE documentaries and do Netflix docu-days al the time . I saw Very Young Girls its some heavy stuff. Idk if you're into education docs but Netflix has some amazing ones on the subject. Check out "Lottery" its about how public education is failing and parents r taking desperate measures 2 put them in Charter Schools. If I think of anymore I'll give some suggestions.
I AM into education docs as well. I’m pretty much into any of them since there are seldom any bad ones lol, so I’ll definitely check out “Lottery” when I get a chance. Sounds similar to a CNN special I saw a couple of years ago. Interesting stuff. Thanks :)
Feeling a little sick so I spent the afternoon on the couch watching a few Documentaries. First I watched “Dear Zachary”, a story about a man who died and left behind a son. It’s crazy situation surrounding his death and a shockingly sad story.
Second one I watched was “Capturing the Friedman’s” about a former teacher and his son accused of child molestation in the 1980’s. I still can’t tell if I believe their story or not.
Lastly, I’m watching Super High Me where comedian, Doug Benson, goes 30 days without smoking weed, and then spends the next 30 smoking everyday. We shall see how it turns out.
I was going to watch “Very Young Girls” which is about prostitution/trafficking of young girls in New York but that was a little too heavy after the first two mentioned. All of these are in Netflix Instant Queue if you are interested in seeing them.
I’m watching 20/20 about these women spending thousands, one woman 100k to someone they “knew” online. They were on the net looking for love. That’s just sad, yall don’t trust these folks on these internet streets.
I’m watching the same thing lol. My jaw is on the floor!
