Hey motherfucker, don’t come in here cutting off lights. You don’t know what I was doing. Just because it looks like I’m just on tumblr and don’t “need” lights, doesn’t mean that’s all I’m doing. I could be in this bitch coloring for all you know. Or wrapping a Christmas present. Or counting my eyelashes. You’re not in here anyway, why do you care if the light is on. Motherfucker.
A Haiku is 5-7-5 and an American haiku is just 17 syllables. The first three lines of this was a haiku but after that it loses the structure.
That’s not feminism though. Looks like this has already been discussed but I wanted to add that just becuse a group who claims they are “feminists” is the loudest doesnt make them a representative of an entire culture of ppl. As a feminist i support every womans (and man, but thats another topic) choice to live as they see fit. Similar to being pro-choice.
To whoever is reading this, Today I lost a friend who died in a car accident.
Please take a moment and pray for him.
And take another moment to think about all these people that once mattered to you and suddenly you lost contact with each other. talk to them, go get your phone and call everyone just to say Hi, Do it, Before it’s too late.
Do yourself a favor and Tell them you love them while they can still hear it. Cause they won’t be here forever.
Isn’t part of communication understanding though? Two people talking at each other is no more communication than two people talking at each other who speak two different languages. If there is no understanding there is…
I agree communication is not null and void simply because proper understanding did not take place. I’m going by the definition of communication as the exchange of information or ideas. In order to communicate one must receive a message and process it, i.e understand, whether or not the message is interpreted correctly or not. I guess that goes to your point of attempting to understand versus shutting down. They are both still very much a part of each other.
Communication isn't a part of understanding or vice versa. People communicate all the time without understanding the person or wanting to understanding the person they are speaking with. That's why understanding or the will to understand is the key, and then communicating is the door.
I disagree. Successful communication is not just dialogue/words between two or more people but an exchange of information. If two people are just talking at each other and not hearing the other person, there is no exchange. You can’t just hear a message. You have to process it (understanding) That is communication.
Communication is not the ‘key’; it is the door. Understanding…now that’s the ‘key’. You can try to walk through the door without a key until you’re blue in the face, but you’ll still be standing on the outside, looking in.
With that being said, obviously not everyone holds the key to an open pathway of communication/understanding with you. It’s no one’s fault; it’s merely life. Move on to another door.
Isn’t part of communication understanding though? Two people talking at each other is no more communication than two people talking at each other who speak two different languages. If there is no understanding there is no communication.
