New Month, New Goals :)
January Goals Revisited
Eat Vegetarian at least 4 days a week Finish weeks 3-6 of 5k training (Remember to STRETCH!)
- Take scouting trip
Finish current book and read 2 more Complete 2 24Hr Fasting periods (Jan 2 and 16) Make sure to eat at or above my calorie intake every day (1st week in January not counting fasting days)
Eating vegetarian was pretty easy early on. I’ve done it in the past but no more than a week at a time. Toward week 4 I was really wanting to eat whatever I felt like eating but felt restricted. I guess that means I won’t be going full on veg anytime soon lol.
Finished through week 6 of Couch to 5k. It’s up to full on 2+ mile runs but it’s getting easier. At least that’s what I tell myself. I also made sure to stretch after every run even if it was only a few minutes. I need to keep an eye on my knee that was tweeked about halfway though the month. It seems it’s a wear/usage thing that should work itself out once I build up stamina and fix my form.
Didn’t take the scouting trip I wanted but I did make some inroads in the moving to New York Front! Hopefully by the end of the month I’ll be there :)
The reading was also above expectation. I ended up finishing the book I was Reading (One Fifth Avenue by Candace Bushnell) and completed the entire Hunger Games Series (The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay) along with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz which is the book the Judy Garland Movie is based off of. It’s VERY different from the movie but still great.
I did the fasting but I wasn’t a huge fan. The first go round was fine but the second time was a lot harder. I was pretty good with calories as well, even went a few days w/o counting every single thing I ate. Progress.
